Information About Bali - Sanur

Sanur is the original Bali beach holiday resort and it still stands out for many as being the most desirable location for many reasons. Firstly there are many excellent hotels and resorts in the area all of which are located along the beach and extremely close to it as Sanur is a long stretch of white sand meaning that the tourists and facilities are well dispersed along the beach. Also there are some of the best dinning options in Bali located right in this area and some bars that can be lively or relaxed. The beach in Sanur is pristine white coral sand and protected by a string of reefs meaning there are warm safe and clear turquoise lagoons which are perfect for swimming for all of the family as well as a variety of other water sports. This sleepy set up is the same all along the palm shaded beach where you can kick back at the beach cafes and soak up the rays. There are barely any hawkers on the beach and plenty of activities for everybody. This is the perfect sport for families and couples and is only a 35 minute drive from the airport on the east coast of the island with excellent access to the rest of the island including the east side of Bali which is often less traveled and outstandingly beautiful.

Many of the large international resorts and Sanur hotels are represented as well as highly successful and developed locally and foreign owned Sanur Hotels which have been around since tourists began to frequent these shores. These Sanur hotels are often very large with huge grounds and amazing facilities can be classed as well towards the top end bracket of Bali’s accommodation, as with any where in Bali there is a range of mid range and budget accommodation as well but this is not Sanur’s forte. When traveling past the large entrances to the Sanur Hotels it is difficult to really get an idea of what is going on inside, the grounds are always so large and there are often beautiful gardens, security checkpoints and gate houses before you reach the actual facilities and rooms, this is a grand set up second only to Nusa Dua and often on an equal level with the very highest quality design from traditional to modern and everything in between. You can enjoy the spa treatments, infinity pool areas and all sorts of restaurants and exquisite services within your hotel and then walk out onto the beach and realize why Sanur really is Bali’s tried and true premier beach holiday location.

Sanur Hotels usually have awesome pool gardens located right on the beach as many of them still own the beach land and large grounds, these impressive gardens reflect the original Balinese designs that still run through the entire beach area unspoilt. There is as well all of the tour and trip facilities of any of the Balinese holiday areas.
